What, you're a non-profit organization?

Yes, since its inception more than 10 years ago. Our major mission is to cultivate a future audience for the jazz art form. Though there are some similarities to a traditional business, we're not in it "for the money" (nearly all of us are volunteers!); rather, you will hear and see acts at the Jazz Bakery that you would never get a chance to hear anywhere else in the city, let alone the world. These fine artists - many of whom you will never see at a mainstream venue - deserve an audience. And our audience deserves the best the Jazz art form has to offer; and this is part of our contract with you, making the Jazz Bakery one of the most unique Jazz venues in the world. Where else can you hear world class jazz music, seven nights a week? This is one of the driving forces behind our being a non-profit organization.

How can I make a tax deductible donation?

As a non-profit organization, your donations are extremely important to us. One of the neatest ways to donate is to get a Jazz Bakery Card Blanche card so you and a companion can come to the shows as often as you'd like to without having to purchase tickets. We also take donations for honorary and memory placards in the names of your favorite jazz musician; and you can always get gift certificates for family and friends. For more details, check out our donations page.

Parking is Free! And the neighborhood all around the Jazz Bakery is safe. There is parking throughout the Helms Bakery complex and on the streets next to the Jazz Bakery and the Helms Bakery complex.
